Prong Bench by Rick Owens
In an interview with the New York Times, Owens' said “the pieces at MOCA have become more sculptural and less definably furniture than before. For a museum show, it’s kind of like a runway show. Do we really need to see the functional stuff on a runway show, or do we need to see the story?"
LMD/studio carries a selection of more functional pieces by Rick Owens – call it the ready-to-wear collection.

The MOCA show was produced by Michèle Lamy as a follow-up to the Musée d'Art Moderne Paris exhibition in 2015. Lamy is Owens' wife – whom he affectionately calls “Hun” — and is the primary creative force behind Rick Owens Home Collection. On Lamy, Owens said “she has always said in interviews that we didn’t get together to have babies, and that’s true.”
